9/6/08: CONCOURS UPDATE Due to the weekend forecast, we have decided to postponed the Sept 7th concours until the raindate of Sept 14. 8/6/08: CONE ONE AND CONE ALL!! You are cordially invited to the First Annual Autocross Get-Together. If you are PCA member who autocrosses, wants to autocross, has seen an autocross or can say the word autocross you are welcomed to attend this informal get-together. (In other words, anyone who just wants to hang out and have a good time with their Metro buddies is invited.) When: Thursday, August 14th 6:00 PM - Whenever Where: Runyon's Roadside Tavern 2172 Hempstead Tpke East Meadow NY (About 1.8 miles east of the Nassau Coliseum) (This is not a club subsidized event. Everyone is responsible for paying for their own food and drink) This will be a non-timed, non-driving event. I don't know how long this will be live, so be sure to check it out! 7/5/08: Vintage Rally Deadline Approaches This year's Vintage Rally to be held on July 19. The pre-registration deadline for this event is July 14. You can download the event flyer in the Rally section of our web site by clicking on the Rally link in the left side navigation. 6/18/08: There's Still Time To Register: FRIDAY 4th OF JULY DE EVENT AT POCONO FULL COURSE YOU ARE INVITED: ALL DE participants, make this a family event.... We will have PARADE LAPS of the ENTIRE TRI-OVAL at lunchtime on Friday!! You may bring your kids/wife/girlfriend etc... on the track! We will have a lunchtime get together and will have free SPARKLERS for the first 300 participants!! So sign up fast on-line or Call Dave Hartman # 631-744-1115. At the end of the day all the Instructors get to run the entire Tri-Oval at speed. The best part is you can spend the day at the track and still get home in time for the weekend!! 5/30/08: Attention Autocrossers (and potential Autocrossers): Although the deadline has passed there is still room available for the Autocross School. When: Saturday, June 7th Where: Nassau Coliseum Time: 7:00 a.m. If you are interested in learning to Autocross or just want to polish up your skills this is a great event to attend. If you are new to the sport, you can come down and enjoy a competition and pressure free environment where you will be instructed by many of the club's talented drivers through a variety of Autocross exercises designed to give you the basic skills necessary for Autocross. If you have Autocrossed before and want to improve your existing skills, instructors will work with you to get that competitive edge you've been looking for. SEAT TIME - SEAT TIME - SEAT TIME You have heard everyone say it. The key to success is seat time. There is no better place then the Autocross School. You will be able to drive the exercises all morning and a real Autocross course in the afternoon. YES...you heard it here...A real Autocross Course! This year's holiday party will be held at the prestigious Jericho Terrace on December 2nd, from noon - 5pm. Come join us for this great holiday party.
